Fuck it all to hell!!! I was in a fairly good mood when i walked into my office this morning from my 3-day weekend. Alas, not 3 minutes after I sat at my desk, my boss David, came into my office and told me that the software side was robbed. Since yesterday was a public holiday (Memorial Day), the offices were closed so we don't know if it happened during the weekend or yesterday.

Someone threw 2 big rocks thru the windows in the technical support room and walked away with 3 desktop computers, 2 laptops and 3 17" flat screen monitors. The windows were smashed to smithereens so glass was everywhere in the room. We can't do anything to clean up the room at the moment coz we are still waiting for the cops to come over. We are not to touch anything in that room coz they want to dust for fingerprints. I really hope that they did leave their prints coz I would love to see their asses in jail. Man, I am so mad right now.

Now, David & I have to deal with the insurance company, cops as well as the landlord. I am not sure what time the glass people can be here so now, someone will have to stay at the office until the window is fixed. If it's not fixed by end of day, someone will have to stay overnight in the office coz we don't want them to come back and steal again. Dealing with the insurance company is going to be the worst part. Thousands of dollars in computers were lost and I am sure the insurance company is going to take their time in reimbursing us. The worst part right now is that our technical support guys are not able to answer calls from our customers. We are trying to move them to the computer developer/designer rooms for the time being.

I just feel so sick to my stomach right now that someone would do that. I mean I know this kind of things do happen but I just can't believe that it did...

Well, I better go see if the cops are here yet. I can't believe that they didn't come immediately.... Arghhhhhh...I'm so pissed!!!!

Happy Birthday Aman!!!

Thursday, May 24, 2007

Here I am again, all by my lonesome self. The dental side is only opened for half day today and closed tomorrow and Monday for Memorial Day, so everyone has gone home except for yours truly. I have stuff from the software side to do today and tomorrow. I am hoping that I could get my stuff done today so that I could go home a little early today to deal with the little thing that I am going to tell you about below...

I was really ticked off yesterday afternoon. I was out doing errands for work and on the way back to the office, I stopped at the Water & Ice store to have our water bottles for the water cooler filled. Had 4 of the 5-gallons bottles with me. Anyways, as I was driving back to the office, I heard the bottles kinda rolling around in my trunk. Then I started hearing this glug, glug, glug sound. I figured it was just the water sloshing around in the bottles. Half way to the office I stopped at a red light and the glug, glug, glug sound didn't stop. I started to have a bad feeling about it so I pulled into a parking lot. Opened the trunk and found that one of the bottle caps had broken and water was everywhere. One of the bottles was half empty. Man, I was pissed!!!

When I got back to the office, I placed a whole roll of paper towel in the trunk to try and soak up the water and pulled the lining out to dry. I just hope that I get the stuff dry coz I really don't want any mildew or musty smell in my new car. Maybe I'll leave the trunk open when I get home tonight so that the sun could dry up any dampness in there.

Hemm, it's almost 1 pm already so I better go and get some lunch before I keel over from hunger....

I forced myself to go into work today even though I really don't feel like it. Still didn't get a good sleep last night. Kept waking up every hour again. Poor Sammy had to move to different spots on the bed every time I wake up coz I was tossing and turning all night...

Yawwnnnnnn..... I am so tired. Luckily, the pile on my desk wasn't too big this morning so I am able to get through it. The office will be closed half day tomorrow and all day Friday, so I will be able to get everything done before the weekend.

I am not looking forward to the summer at all. It is suppose to still be spring but it is already hot here in Arizona and it's only May!!! I'm not looking forward to the 120F (about 49C) temperature that we usually have in the summer. You can literally cook an egg on the pavement, no kidding!!! Maybe that is why I am feeling tired... this hot weather is just draining me. I guess I better call the air condition guy to make sure that the house central unit is in good working order. I really do not want it to break down in the middle of summer like it did about 2 year ago... Hemm, I better make sure that Jim changes the air filter to the central unit too... We might use the pool this summer but I don't like to stay outside too much when it is so hot, so we'll see.

Good thing that I have the new Toyota Yaris too so I don't have to drive around in the heat without air conditioning like I did last summer with the Dodge Caravan, especially when I am running around doing errands in the middle of the afternoon. Man, that was torture!!! I just need to get the sunshade for the car windows. The windows on the Yaris are tinted but it still gets pretty hot sitting in the parking lot even now. Can you imagine how hot it would be in summer? Feels like an oven on full blast...

Well, another hour before I get off. Guess I should finish up the minor stuff that were left over from yesterday's pile...

Oh, the "Lost" season finale is tonight. It will be on for 2 hours. As always, I'll be taping the episode. That way, I can watch it again and again to make sure that I get all the clues...he he he. I am such a "Lost" fanatic... I am a "Heroes" fanatic too. Their season finale was last Monday, so after tonight I will be going into "Lost" & "Heroes" withdrawals since all the shows are going to be on reruns now....Waaaaaaa.......

I better get my stuff done... I'm starting to ramble here... Catch ya later alligator!!!

Today I didn't go into work...This past weekend as well as on Monday and today, I was feeling down. Don't really have any reason why, just feeling blah....

I couldn't sleep really well last night. Kept getting up about every hour and when I do fall asleep, I would wake up right away. So, at about 7:00am this morning I decided that I am not going into work...

What did I do all day today? Sleep, sleep and more sleep....Even with all that sleep today, I am still yawning and most likely will be going to bed early tonight. I have to go into work tomorrow coz if I don't, the pile on my desk is going to keep getting bigger and bigger since no one else will do it.

I am watching "Dancing with the Stars" on ABC (channel 15) right now and most likely will hit the bed soon after...

Lazy, lazy me...

Hemm, it's late Monday afternoon and I am a little bored. The first game of the NBA Eastern Conference final between the Cleveland Cavaliers and the Detroit Pistons is on TNT (channel 26) at the moment but I don't feel like watching.

As usual, I have my 3-day weekend since I don't work on Mondays. This whole weekend I kinda felt blahhhh. I did go to my in laws late yesterday afternoon but that was basically the highlight of my weekend. Other than that, I just hung out around the house with my 3 boys.

We did rent a couple of movies, "Little Children" and "The Good Shepard". We haven't watch "The Good Shepard" yet. "Little Children" was pretty good. Kate Winslet (Titanic), Jennifer Connelly (Hulk) and Patrick Wilson (Hard Candy) was in it. It's about the relationship between this housewife and a stay-at-home dad and also how their neighbors deal when a known child molester moved back to their neighborhood. There were a few sex scenes in the movie so I wouldn't watch it with your kids.

What else to write about... I think I'll try to finish typing out my book. I have been postponing that too...lazy lazy me....

I guess I'll catch ya later....

My Very First Blog Post

Since I am still at work and have nothing better to do and it's not time to go home yet, I surfed the net. I went onto my friendster account and read my blogs that I have on there (I haven't written any blog on there for over a year now). I came across my very first blog I ever wrote. So, for fun, below is my first blog written on August 29, 2005.

When It Rain, It Pours

Ever heard the saying, "When it rains, it pours?" Well, that's what been happening to me this lovely month of August and it's not the wet kind...

Earlier this month, on a bright Tuesday morning, I got into my Dodge Caravan to go to work... Put the key in the ignition... click, click... hemm nothing... click click... still nothing... Popped the hood... checked the oil... still full. Checked the battery... hah!!!! the damn thing is dead!!! Called my mother in law so that she can drive me to work. Jim came home from work that afternoon, jumped start the van and took it in to Goodyear to have the battery replaced... US$70 flew out the window....

A week later, again on a Tuesday. Have a meeting with the owners of the dental practice I work for at Applebee's at noon. David (one of the owners who is my direct boss) and I were going to drive separately to Applebee's since I have errands to do after the meeting. Left my office at 11:45am, got into my van.... grrrr, grrrr... hemmm... grrrr, grrrr. Why doesn't this damn van want to start. "I just changed the battery, dammit!!!" Grrr, grrr... still wouldn't start... "David, can you pick me up? My car wouldn't start." Luckily, he just left the parking lot. Jim came by after work and again took it in to Goodyear.... The alternater (not sure of spelling) was out.... US$350 down the drain....

Last Wednesday, Jim left for work at 10:00pm...Yes, P.M., he works the night shift. About 10:45 pm, the phone rang... I was almost in dreamland at that time... Ring, ring... who could be calling this late... Damn tellermarketers!!! I let the answering machine pick up the call..."Honey, it's me, I need you to come get me, I have a flat tire." What!!!! I hope he wasn't on the freeway when it happened. Scrambled to get the phone. Turned out he's about a mile from getting onto the freeway when the tire blew out. Phew!!! Groggily, put on my Pooh fuzzy slippers and drove the van to where Jim is. Left the Chevy Prizm by the road and drove Jim to work. Next morning, picked Jim up from work and drove back to where the car is. Tried to change the tire ourselves but it's one of those "steel" wheels and it needed some kind of special tool. Called the tow truck and sat in the bloody hot sun for almost an hour before they came and towed us to Goodyear. Right rear tire was blown to pieces and the front right tire has a nail in it....US$160 floated away...

You would think 3rd time's the charm right?... About 3am this morning, I woke up in a sweat. Sammy & Tiger (our cats) were panting right beside me. Hemm, why is the house so hot? We had the air conditioning set at 78 F...The thermostat says it's 92F... Hemm... Maybe the auto off switch was on?... Nope... Oh well, will call the air conditioning guy to see what's wrong... maybe it just needs some freeon...

Well, Jim just called me... the air conditioning unit needs to be replaced, the compression blew up in the middle of the night... US$3500 will most likely fly away later today...

What can I say? When it rains, it POURS!!!!!

Here We Go Again

It's Friday again....and like most Fridays, I am by my lonesome self in the office. There are still a few guys on the software side but the dental side is completely empty. I am proud to say that at about 3:45pm, I am almost done going thru my pile that accumulated while I was on vacation last week....YEAH!!!! I am sure the pile will be there again when I come back in next Tuesday he he he.

Hemm, what do I want to do this weekend...Of course, it would be my favorite pasttime... sleepppppppppp... We are suppose to go out for lunch with Jim's parents on Sunday. Aunt Susan (my mother in law's sister) is here for a visit from Chicago. I am sure we will be at my in laws most of Sunday. I don't mind it coz I get to play with little Karsen.

Other than that...I have nothing much planned. Most likely will just lepak around the house and yakking with my family & friends on yahoo.

I am getting a little bored now that I don't have much to do around the office. Maybe I can sneak out early...;-)

Anyways, have a great weekend everyone!!!

End of vacation....urgh!!!!!!!

Today is my first day back from a week long vacation. We didn't go anywhere since Jim has to work...me just melepak kat rumah je, being the lazy bum that I am he he he...

What did I do while I was on vacation? Hemm, let me see....sleep, eat, watch tv, sleep, eat, watch tv...that's basically it. Oh, was on the computer when I'm not doing the other 3 things he he he. Actually, I did get some stuff done. I bought a hummingbird feeder for our back patio. Got a pot of flowers as well as some weed killer for the crap grass that we have in the back yard. Had planned on working the garden but alas I got lazy so I just put up the hummingbird feeder and call it even. Maybe this weekend I'll cut that crap grass....not!!!! Urghh, I really hate that thing.....

I did finally typed out my book. I just have to finish typing the ending. Maybe I'll send it in to some of the publishing houses. Who knows, maybe I would become a famous children's book author some day....insya allah. Can you imagine me being an author? he he he

Did some spring cleaning around the house. Tidy up the laundry room and the bedroom. Both rooms look a lot better now that all the crap are either put away or tossed out. The boys have more space to look out the back door at the bird feeders now that the laundry room is clutter free.
When the laundry room was full of clutter
These are clutter free

Boy, I really didn't want to go into work today....I kept hitting the snooze button for about a half hour before I decided that I need to wake up. When I got into my office....my oh my...2 huge pile of stuff that I need to go thru. I am proud to say that now at about 5:47 pm, I have gone thru almost all of it....yeah!!!

I guess it's time for me to go home and see what my boys are up to....Adios amigos.....

Love for a Reason

Someone forwarded this to me today and I thought it was sweet.....

People come into your life for a reason, a season or a lifetime. When you know which one it is, you will know what to do for that person.

When someone is in your life for a REASON, it is usually to meet a need you have expressed. They have come to assist you through a difficulty, to provide you with guidance and support, to aid you physically, emotionally or spiritually. They may seem like a godsend and they are. The are there for the reason you need them to be. Then, without any wrongdoing on your part or at an inconveniet time, this person will say or do something to bring the relationship to an end. Sometimes they die; sometimes they walk away; sometimes they act up and force you to take a stand. What we must realise is that our need has been met, our desire fulfilled; their work is done. The prayer you sent up has been answered, and now it is time to move on.

Some people come into your life for a SEASON, because your turn has come to share, grow or learn. They bring you an experience of peace or make you laugh. They may teach you something you have never done. They usually give you an unbelievable amount of joy. Believe it, it is real. But only for a season!

LIFETIME relationships teach you lifetime lessons, things you must build upon in order to have a solid emotional foundation. Your job is to accept the lesson, love the person and put what you have learned to use in all other relationships and areas of your life. It is said that love is blind but friendship is clairvoyant...

Thank you for being a part of my life, whether you were a reason, a season or a lifetime...

O.J. Tossed from Steakhouse on Derby Eve - Beth Campbell

O.J. tossed from steakhouse on Derby eve
By BETH CAMPBELL, Associated Press Writer Wed May 9, 12:49 AM ET
LOUISVILLE, Ky. - The owner of an upscale steakhouse in Louisville said he asked O.J. Simpson to leave his restaurant the night before the Kentucky Derby because he is sickened by the attention Simpson still attracts.
"I didn't want to serve him because of my convictions of what he's done to those families," Jeff Ruby said in a telephone interview Tuesday. "The way he continues to torture the lives of those families ... with his behavior, attitude and conduct."
Simpson, an NFL Hall of Famer and Heisman Trophy winner, was found innocent in 1995 of killing his ex-wife, Nicole Brown Simpson, and Ron Goldman but was found liable in a civil trial that followed.
Ruby — who owns restaurants in Cincinnati, Louisville and Belterra, Ind. — said Simpson, who was in town for the Derby on Saturday, came in with a group of about 12 Friday night and was seated at a table in the back. A customer came up to Ruby and was "giddy" about seeing Simpson, Ruby said.
"I didn't want that experience in my restaurant," Ruby said, later adding that seeing Simpson get so much attention "makes me sick to my stomach."
He said he went to Simpson's table and said, "I'm not serving you." Ruby said when Simpson didn't respond, he repeated himself and left the room.
Ruby said Simpson soon came up to him and said he understood and would gather the rest of his party to leave.
Simpson's attorney, Yale Galanter, said the incident was about race, and he intended to pursue the matter and possibly go after the restaurant's liquor license.
"He screwed with the wrong guy, he really did," Galanter said by telephone Tuesday night.
Ruby said the incident had to do with Simpson's past.
"It was the first time since 1994 he has ever shown any class," Ruby said. "He showed it that night in the restaurant" by leaving quietly.
Ruby said after Simpson left, people in the restaurant started applauding him. He said he has received about 100 positive e-mails since the incident.
The walls of Ruby's restaurants are decorated with celebrity photos. A photo of Simpson and Ruby used to be on display, but Ruby said he took it down after the killings.

*About time someone show that man that he's guilty as hell!!! And for him to try and exploit their deaths just shows that he's a man without morals...

I'll Never Get Over You (Getting Over Me) - by Expose

Music Video Codes by VideoCure

I hear you're taking the town again
Having a good time with all your good time friends
I don't think that you think of me
You're on your own now, and I'm alone and free
I know that I oughta get on with my life
But a life lived without you could never be right

And as long as the stars shine down from the heavens
Long as the rivers run to the sea
I'll never get over you
Getting over me

I try to smile so the hurt won't show
Tell everybody I was glad to see you go
But the eyes just won't go away
Loneliness found me, looks like it's here to stay
I know that I oughta find someone new
But all I find is myselft always thinking of you

No matter what I do
It's like a lifetime to live through
I can't go on like this
I need your touch
You're the only one I've ever loved
And as long as the stars shine down from the heavens
Long as the rivers run to the sea
I'll never get over you
Getting over me.....

I used to listen to this song a long long time ago and I used to cry whenever I hear it....This was back when I was still living in Malaysia. I had just moved back from Holland and was studying for my Associate Degree in Kuantan. I was in love with someone at that time (& had been for about 4 yrs) but I guess my love was not enough coz he broke up with me to be with someone else.

This person was my first love and as the saying goes...first love is hard to forget and the first cut is the deepest. Don't get me wrong, I'm not in love with him anymore but he does pops in my head once in awhile. Wonder where he is? Is he happy? If he ever thinks about me....You know, the usual cheesy stuff.....Anyways, I heard this song on the radio the other day and guess what??? I don't cry anymore and have not been for quite some time now....

I recently started corresponding with him after years of long silence. Glad to know that he is happy and doing well career wise. Am also glad that we can still be friends and keep in touch with each other coz we've been friends since we were kids....

Well, to this person (if you ever read this)......Thank you for the experience...You taught me a lot about relationship(s) and myself. Taught me not to depend on other people to make me happy and that I hold my happiness in my own hands. And because of you, I came to the US and met the person I am truly happy with. Someone whom I can be myself and not worry that he is looking for something better and loves me for me (flaws and all...).

I am also glad that we can still keep in touch and hopefully will be for a long time....

Never make someone a priority when all you are to them is an option.....
